Perk Me Up Body Scrub is the outlier in the RL Organics scrub range, and the most distinctive of the six. Alongside the usual Himalayan pink salt base, it carries real coffee grounds, blended with cinnamon and wild orange essential oils.

What Perk Me Up Body Scrub Looks Like

This is the one scrub in the collection you can identify at a glance. Where the others read pink and pale, the coffee grounds turn this one a rich, dark brown, with the rose-and-white Himalayan salt showing through as lighter flecks against it.

That gives it a two-tone, speckled texture no other scrub in the range has: dark grounds and pale salt crystals suspended together in coconut and sunflower oils.

It is also the most texturally complex of the six. The salt provides the coarse, sharp exfoliation, while the coffee grounds add a finer, grittier polish alongside it. As with all our scrubs, the oils pool at the surface between uses. Stir before use.

This blend is nothing like the rest of the range, and it is worth being specific about why.

The coffee grounds are not just an exfoliant, they carry a genuine roasted, slightly bitter aroma that comes through the moment you open the jar. Cinnamon adds warm, sweet, woody spice on top of it. Wild orange brings a round, sweet citrus that lifts the whole thing and keeps the spice from turning heavy.

Coffee, cinnamon and orange is a combination you know from somewhere else entirely: it smells like a coffee shop in December. Where the other five scrubs sit in the herbal, woody and citrus families, this one is warm, edible and gourmand. If the other scrubs feel like a spa, this one feels like a bakery.

How to Use Perk Me Up Body Scrub

Apply to damp skin in the shower. Massage in circular motions to exfoliate, focusing on rough or dry areas. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Use two to three times a week. Two practical notes specific to this one: rinse the tub afterward, since coffee grounds can leave a residue, and take extra care with light-colored towels and bath mats.

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Avoid use on broken or freshly shaved skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Will the coffee stain my tub or towels? The grounds can leave a light residue. Rinse the tub after use and avoid your best white towels.

Does it actually smell like coffee? Yes. Real coffee grounds carry a genuine roasted aroma, with cinnamon and wild orange layered over it.
