Open the jar and the first thing you see is the salt. Himalayan pink salt is the base of every RL Organics scrub, and it keeps its natural rose-and-white coloring rather than being dyed, so the scrub reads pink-flecked and coarse rather than uniform.

The crystals sit suspended in a blend of coconut and sunflower oils, which pool slightly at the surface. That separation is normal and expected in an oil-based scrub with no synthetic emulsifiers holding it together: give it a stir before use and it comes right back together.

The texture is genuinely coarse. This is a salt scrub, not a fine sugar polish, and the grains are large enough to feel between your fingers before they ever reach your skin.

How to Use Balance Me Out Body Scrub

Apply to damp skin in the shower or bath. Massage in circular motions to exfoliate, focusing on rough or dry areas such as elbows, knees and feet. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Use two to three times a week. Because this is an oil-based scrub, the floor of the tub can get slippery, so take care getting out.

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Avoid use on broken or freshly shaved skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
