Spirit Root Soap is the most literally rooted bar in the collection. It starts with a ginger infusion instead of plain water, and finishes with black sesame seeds and flaxseed powder folded through the body of the bar.

What Spirit Root Soap Looks Like

This is a speckled bar rather than a swirled one. Whole black sesame seeds are folded in during the pour, so they sit visible throughout as small dark flecks, and flaxseed powder adds a finer, softer speckle alongside them.

Because the seeds are distributed by hand while the soap is setting, no two bars carry the same pattern. Some slices catch a heavier scatter, others a lighter one.

The ginger infusion at the base contributes a warm earthy undertone to the body of the bar rather than a bright dyed color. Combined with a mica finish, the overall effect is earthy and textural, a bar that looks like it came from a kitchen rather than a factory.

How Spirit Root Soap Smells

Three essential oils, and this is the warmest, spiciest blend in the lineup.

Cedarwood is the base: dry, woody, resinous, the note that gives the bar its grounded character. Clove brings the spice, warm and slightly sweet with that unmistakable pungent bite. Ginger ties it back to the infusion at the bottom of the formula, adding a fresh, peppery warmth that keeps the clove from sitting too heavy.

The result is closer to a spice drawer or a woodshop than to a garden. There is nothing floral or citrus here at all. If you gravitate toward warm, earthy, autumnal scents rather than bright ones, this is the bar in the collection built for you.

Handcrafted in Small Batches

Every bar of Spirit Root Soap is poured, cut and cured by hand in small batches. Building an infusion adds a step at the very front of the process, before any soap is made at all.

Ingredients: Ginger Infusion, Saponified Oils of Coconut, Hemp Seed, Rice Bran, Sunflower, Sweet Almond and Shea Butter, Cedarwood Essential Oil, Clove Essential Oil, Ginger Essential Oil, Flaxseed Powder, Black Sesame Seeds, Fragrance, Mica.

How to Use Spirit Root Soap

Wet the bar and your skin with warm water. Work Spirit Root Soap between your hands or onto a washcloth to build a lather, cleanse, and rinse thoroughly.

Store it on a well-draining dish away from standing water between uses.

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Spirit Root Soap Questions, Answered

What are the dark specks? Black sesame seeds, folded into the batch during the pour, alongside a finer speckle from flaxseed powder.

Is it exfoliating? Lightly. The seeds add a bit of texture on the surface, but this is a cleansing bar first rather than a true scrub. For real exfoliation, pair it with a body scrub.

Is the clove strong? It is noticeable, which is the point. Cedarwood grounds it and ginger lifts it, so it reads warm and spiced rather than sharp.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Clove is one of the more assertive essential oils. If your skin reacts easily, patch test on a small area first, or choose a gentler bar from the soap collection.
